Northborough/Framingham – Janet M. (Van Stry) Sullivan, 74, died February 4, 2015 in Beaumont of Northborough. Raised in Jamaica Plain, she was the daughter of Leonard and Catherine (Defren) Van Stry. She leaves her son Paul Sullivan III and his wife Meg of Northborough; her brother, Robert Van Stry and his wife Ann of Westwood; three grandchildren, Patrick, Shawn and Alexa Sullivan of Northborough; and several nieces and nephews. Her daughter Colleen Sullivan died in 1987. Mrs. Sullivan lived in Framingham for over 40 years before moving to Northborough in 2007. Janet was employed at Raytheon Corp. in Sudbury and Marlborough in the 1980s until her retirement in 2002. Mrs. Sullivan lived for her family and was content living a simple life at home. She loved her dogs and cats. Her other interests included drawing and crossword puzzles. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St. Northborough. Interment will follow in New Town Cemetery, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Assoc., 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
