NORTHBOROUGH –
Jean (Maier) Lowe passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in May 1934, in the country community of El Paso, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Lucille Maier and the late Elmer Maier.
Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, cherished by all who knew her. Jean is survived by her children: Katherine, Joan (Steven), Linda (Timothy), Thomas (Jane), Philip (Paula), Edward (Kathy); 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Jean is also survived by her siblings: Janis, Joan and Janet, all of Fort Worth, numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and their families.. She was predeceased by her husband Eldon, son-in-law Richard and her twin-sister Joyce.
Jean was a graduate of the St Joseph's School of Nursing with advanced training in Operating Room protocol. She was working as a nurse when she married Eldon and they moved to Westborough. Jean devoted many years to raising her children, supporting her husband's career, teaching religious school classes at church, and fostering lifelong friendships. Upon retirement, Jean developed her interest in poetry, eventually becoming a published author in Maine.
Jean was a member of First United Methodist Church in Westborough. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at 11am on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main Street, Westborough, MA 01581. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Westborough or to a charity of your choice.
May Jean rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved Eldon and Joyce, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
