Jean Stewart Brine was born on December 9, 1921 in Boston to John Stewart and Helen McKay. Jean married the love of her life, Donald Brine on January 10th, 1941. They enjoyed over fifty joyful years of marriage and together raised five daughters in Newton Centre. She started painting when they retired to Cape Cod. She was a gifted watercolorist who excelled with all of the beauty surrounding her on Cape Cod. Jean and Don later moved to Florida where they widened their circle of friends. She also loved reading, gardening and playing bridge.

She is predeceased by her husband, Donald, her daughter Ellen Brine Mack, her son-in-law, Gary Fredrickson and her sister, Helen Tetrault. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Brine Fredrickson, Sarah Brine Currie, Barbara Harral and her husband David, Mary Sullivan and her husband, Brian, her grandchildren, Michael Harral and wife Stephanie, Jennifer Sullivan, Patrick Harral and fiancee, Stacie Stinnette, Justin Brine and wife LeeAnn, Amy Brine and Scott Delude, Brian Sullivan, and William Mack. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, Christian, Scott, Eathan, Ashley and Mason.

Service: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernadette's Parish, 266 Main St., Northborough, MA 01532 on Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
