Joan A. Germano, 88, passed away peacefully at home, during the early hours of Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Joan was the daughter to Ashman L. and Dorothy A. (Vigneault) Berry. She resided her entire life in Northborough and was a 1954 graduate of Northborough High School. Joan attended the Worcester Memorial Hospital Nursing School where; in 1957 she received her certificate as a registered nurse. For 41 years she was employed at the Westboro State Hospital, many of which she served as a nursing supervisor. After her retirement in 1992, Joan was a longtime member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church in Northborough. She looked forward to travel- both nationally and internationally.

Surviving Joan are six children, Shelley Germano, Nancy Chisholm, Tina Barrett, Peter Germano, Rick Germano, Christopher Germano; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Joan also leaves two sisters, Beverly Gabriel, Judith Hastings and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter Germano, a son Warren Germano, a daughter Tracy Schlegel and a brother, Ashman Berry.

A graveside committal service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 12:30pm, in Howard Street Cemetery,  Northborough.
