Northborough - Joseph T. LaPierre, 89, passed away at Beaumont of Northborough after a short illness. He leaves his devoted wife of 70 years, Roberta P. (Kenward) LaPierre; his loving children, Corrie Martin and her husband Thomas of Boylston; Jody LaPierre and his wife Nancy of Shrewsbury; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his two sons, Randall LaPierre and Robert LaPierre. Mr. LaPierre was born and raised in Monson, son of Napolean and Corrine (Arsenault) LaPierre. Mr. LaPierre lived in Northborough from 1968 until the time of his passing. Joe was employed by Nelson Freightways out of Rockville, CT and Westborough for 18 years and continued working in the trucking industry thereafter. He enjoyed boating, camping and loved to build model airplanes. A veteran of WW II, Joe served in the U.S Navy Seabees in the South Pacific. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral at 11:00 a.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Military honors will take place at the conclusion of the funeral. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
