Joyce L.
Nye
March 10, 1949 – May 4, 2023
NORTHBOROUGH
Joyce L. Nye, a longtime resident of Northborough and beloved mother and grandmother to her family, passed away in the early hours of May 4, 2023. She was 74 years old. Joyce was raised in Framingham, one of four children to Howard B. and Lea (Geyh) Nye. After her graduation from Framingham North H.S. Joyce worked several years as a counter teller at a local bank. She soon thereafter joined the family in the day-to-day operations of Marlborough Foundry. For over 40 years she remained there, serving as Vice President and as the business' financial comptroller prior to her retirement in 2019.
For over 50 years Joyce enjoyed the annual family camping trips to Sebego Lake. She took pride in caring for her home and flower gardens and looked forward to relaxing by her pool. With an affection for convertibles, Joyce could be found enjoying hers in any season of the year. Joyce will be remembered for her generosity and her ever-willingness to help others. She enjoyed hosting holidays and special events for her family. Above all, Joyce most cherished being a loving "Gaga" to her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving Joyce is a daughter, Jane Postizzi and her wife Ari of Grafton; a son, Steven Postizzi and his wife Katina of Northborough; five grandchildren whom she adored, Rocco, Leilani, Mario, Nicole and Jackson; a brother, Robert Nye of Cape Cod and her former husband, Anthony Postizzi, Jr. In addition, Joyce leaves her longtime companion and boyfriend, Terry Page of Marlborough. Together, Joyce and Terry enjoyed attending functions at the Marlborough Fish and Game Club and spending time with the family.
