Northborough - Karen A. Warren Greenwald, 60, died October 3, 2013, in Largo Medical Center in Florida. Born in Washington D.C., she was the first child of Aubrey and Helena "Nini" Greenwald II. Karen graduated from Algonquin Regional High School, class of 1972. She followed in her mother's footsteps to pursue a nursing career starting with a degree from Quinsigamond Community College in 1974. As a registered nurse, Karen worked at UMass Medical Center in Worcester for 15 years. She later went on to earn a degree in interior design from Becker College. Karen enjoyed traveling, reading and loved spending time at the beach. She leaves two sons, Andrew Greenwald of China and Maxwell Warren of Lakeland, FL; her father, Aubrey Greenwald II of Shrewsbury; three brothers, Aubrey Greenwald III and his wife Deborah of Northborough; Neil Greenwald and his wife Lisa of Boylston and Martin Greenwald and his wife Dina of Northborough; her former husband Ken Warren of Florida; also surviving are aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 11th at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Rte. 122/1312 Providence Rd., Whitinsville.
