Berlin – Karen L. (Johnson) Hill, 77, passed away on November 12, 2015 in Marlborough Hospital after a period of declining health. She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, David Hill (2012) and her son Dana (1988). Also predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Labare, Kristie Himmelman, Carl Johnson III and Bruce Johnson. Karen leaves behind her three daughters and their families, Brenda Brown and husband Phil, Denise Selepack and husband Jeffrey, Tracy Hill and Bob Sears; grandchildren, Heather and Michael Strock, Evan and Cameron Brown, Jeremiah, Shane and wife Stephanie, Elijah Johnson; great-grandson Declan Johnson; her sister Joyce Gagnon; many nieces and nephews.

Karen worked outside the home at State Mutual Life Insurance Co., Hendries Ice Cream, and New England Frozen Foods. For many years, she and Dave participated in craft shows. Upon retiring, she opened her own shop, Wood-N- Things. Mrs. Hill was very active in her life raising her family. She was a member of 4-H, Girl Scouts, past Worthy Advisor of Marlboro Assembly #35 Order of Rainbow for Girls, past Worthy Advisor of state assembly. Other memberships included First Parish Church of Berlin, past president of Women's Evening Guild and Friendship Village Fair.

Calling hours will be held Monday, November 16, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, November 17th at 11 a.m. in North Cemetery, Berlin.
