Worcester- Katherine G. Carlson, 77, passed away on November 26, 2014 in St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves a cousin, Eileen Knowlton of Worcester. She was the daughter of Swedish immigrants, Anders and Clara (Kirk) Carlson, and lived here most of her life. Katherine also lived in San Francisco for a for a brief period. She graduated from South High School and Salter Secretarial School. Katherine worked as a secretary at the former Paul Revere Insurance Co. Her interests included classical music, Broadway shows & musicals. She had a deep passion for the ocean. In her spare time, Miss Carlson volunteered at Foothills Theater and Memorial Hospital gift shop. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church. Her funeral will be held Monday, December 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove St. Worcester. There are no calling hours. Burial will take place privately in All Faiths Cemetery. Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough is directing arrangements.
