Kevin P.
Aucoin
September 8, 1962 – October 24, 2025
NORTHBOROUGH
In the quiet morning hours of Friday, October 24, 2025, without warning, Kevin took his final rest — leaving this world as gently and peacefully as the fading notes of his saxophone. Kevin Peter Aucoin, a lifelong resident of Northborough and accomplished saxophone player, passed away at home after experiencing an acute medical episode. He was 63 years old.
Kevin was born in Marlborough, the oldest child to Ralph R. and Mildred L. (Blanchard) Aucoin. He attended Northborough Public Schools and was a 1981 graduate of Algonquin Regional High School. Throughout his working career, Kevin would find employment in sales although his real love was music. From an early age, Kevin was fascinated by the soulful notes of the saxophone. Over the years Kevin became an accomplished and sought after saxophonist. He enjoyed playing at weddings and parties and on many nights would play a gig or two with local bands.
Kevin also enjoyed the thrill of rollercoasting and looked forward to seeking out the next bigger, faster or crazier coaster to conquer. He enjoyed going to concerts and watching his favorite football team- the Dallas Cowboys. Searching for a good meal was a favorite pastime which often included a road trip destination to a new restaurant. This he shared with his beloved sister, Denise. The adventure of the ride was as important as the destination. Kevin enjoyed socializing and meeting new people. This was the hardest on him as he continued to face increasingly severe medical hurdles; still, he persevered. Kevin attended St. Rose of Lima Parish, where he was deeply grateful for the spiritual support and sense of belonging he found there.
Surviving Kevin is his sister, Denise Aucoin with whom he lived; his aunt, Mary foreman of Thousand Oaks, California and his beloved cats, Ebony and Brady. He was preceded by his father in 1992 and his mother in 2022.
Friends are invited to gather for Kevin's Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, at St. Rose of Lima Parish, 244 W. Main Street, Northborough. There are no public calling hours planned.
Kevin's passing was as unexpected as it was peaceful, a quiet encore to a life lived in melody. Through every note he played, he told stories without words — of love, struggle, and joy. Though his saxophone now lies still, its voice echoes in the hearts of those who heard him play. His song continues, carried by those who will forever remember the music in his soul.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Rose of Lima Parish, 244 W. Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532. Arrangements have been under the care of Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532.
