Larry Edward
Griswold
April 12, 1941 – October 30, 2021
HUDSON
Larry E. Griswold passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 30, 2021; he was 80 years old. Larry was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, on April 12, 1941, the son to the late Hoyt L. and Garnet Kathleen (Queen) Griswold. After high school Larry enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he honorably served his country as a radioman aboard the USS Aeolus. Upon his return to civilian life Larry attended college where he earned his engineering degree and for numerous years, worked as an electronics engineer within the Digital Corporation.
In 2018, as fate would have it, Larry introduced himself to Merrilyn (Cook) while the two were having their lunch at McDonalds. They quickly found they had much in common and on November 15, 2018, they were wed. Merrilyn shares that Larry was the love of her life. He wasn't just her husband, he was her joy; the past three years have been special. Larry enjoyed attending the Hudson Seventh Day Adventist Church and participating in their Bible study classes.
In addition to his wife Merrilyn, Larry is survived by his two sons, Phillip Griswold of San Juan Capastrono, CA and Jeremiah Griswold of Seattle, WA; Merrilyn's five children, Alden Latour of W. Boylston, Shiela Mader of Northborough, Raymond Latour of Lynn, Beth Latour of Somersworth, NH, and Carolyn Cutter of Barrington, NH; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
There are no services planned at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date with the time announced, once planned, at the Hudson Seventh Day Adventist Church, 94 Marlborough St, Hudson, MA.
