Northborough – Linda M. (LaBossiere) Murphy, 81, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in Marlborough Hospital after a period of declining health. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 63 years, Robert S. Murphy; her 5 loving children, Robert C. Murphy of Northborough; Dennis K. Murphy of Shrewsbury; Randall S. Murphy of Tampa, FL; Sandra L. Murphy and her husband Sean McDonough of Charlestown; John E. Murphy and his wife Laura of Holden; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Northborough, she was the daughter of Walter and Ada (Clifford) LaBossiere. Linda lived most of her life in Northborough. Her various jobs over the years included working at Lawrence Candle Factory and Quality Catering. A graduate of Northborough High School, class of 1952, she was a standout basketball and softball player. She was devoted to teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren about the many joys of life and understanding the value of family. She loved crossword puzzles, family gatherings and vacations in Dennisport, Cape Cod. Linda will be fondly remembered for her love of life and her kind and generous spirit. She had a unique gift of making all those around her feel loved and special.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Linda's funeral will be held Monday, November 9th at 10 a.m. in Trinity Church, 23 Main St. Burial will follow in Howard St. Cemetery.
