Lucille Elizabeth Randall
April 7, 1924 – July 16, 2025
SHREWSBURY, MA
Lucille Elizabeth Randall peacefully passed away at home on July 16, 2025, at the age of 101. She was the beloved wife of more than 70 years to Edward W. Randall.
Born in Orrville, Ohio, Lucille was one of seven children of Christian B, Sr. and Bertha (Moser) Geiser. She was a graduate of Orrville High School before attending Goshen College. Lucille met her future husband, Edward, in Cleveland, Ohio, and they married in 1954. The couple soon relocated to Northborough, Massachusetts, where they lived for the next 58 years before moving to Worcester and Shrewsbury.
Before Lucille's children were born, she worked for several years as a legal secretary for a local law firm, but she considered her most important role to be creating a loving home for her growing family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and planning trips with Edward that often included visits to her beloved family.
Lucille enjoyed helping others. She found satisfaction through many hours of volunteering at the Northborough Senior Center and the Northborough Public Library. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, birdwatching, and gardening.
In addition to her husband Edward, Lucille is survived by her three sons: Doug Randall and his wife Laurie of Wake Forest, NC, Paul Randall and his wife Karen of Celina, TX , and Robert Randall and his wife Jean of Gilbertsville, PA; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also, Lucille is survived by two sisters, Lois Gerber of Orrville, OH, and Virginia Cocanower of Greenville, SC; and three sisters-in-law, Justine Geiser of Wooster, OH, and Rusty Geiser of Indianapolis, IN, and Martha Randall of Arlington, MA. She was predeceased by her parents and four siblings: Doris Swinehart (John), Howard Geiser (Flora), Christian Geiser Jr., and D. Stanley Geiser.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 25, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. All are invited to join the family for a memorial service on Saturday, July 26, at 11:00 AM at the Bolton First Parish Church, 673 Main Street, Bolton, MA, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lucille's name to a charity of your choice.
Lucille's life was defined by quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
