Madeleine J. Goodney (Girouard), of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021, at the age of 83 years old. She is survived by her husband, George D. Goodney; her children, Lisa Phipps and her husband John of Berlin, MA, David Goodney and his wife Donna of Naples, FL, James Goodney and his wife Karen of Rutland, MA, Joanne Moss and her husband Thomas of Leicester, MA and Terrie Carpino and her husband Michael of High Point, NC. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, her three siblings, Theresa Archambault, Lorraine Holloway and Marshall Girouard and his wife Mary; numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Worcester, MA, Madeleine was a daughter to the late Marshall and Corana (Poulin) Girouard.

She worked as a hairdresser for many years in addition to owning M.G.'s Unisex Beauty Salon until her retirement. She enjoyed her retirement of 22 years in Vero Beach with family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, August 3rd, at St. Mary's Parish, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury, MA. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
