Northborough- Marie A. (Tacconi) Flanigan, 88, died on July 20, 2012 at the Coleman House in Northborough surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her devoted husband of 67 years, John "Jack" Flanigan and 6 children. Kathy Ford and her husband Bill of Medfield; Renie Martin and her husband Bruce of South Berwick, ME.; Jay Flanigan and his wife Linda of Northborough; Robert Flanigan and his wife Sharon of North Brookfield; Peter Flanigan of Northborough; and Richard Flanigan and his wife Lynne of Pepperell. Marie has 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by 1 sister, Anne Hazard of Barnstable. She is predeceased by her brother Robert Tacconi and her sister Edna Ragaini. Born and raised in Milford, MA, daughter of the late Quinto and Alma (Pettenati) Tacconi. Marie worked for Baystate Abrasives in Westborough for 20 years, retiring in 1986. After Baystate, she worked in the cafeteria at Algonquin Regional High School. Marie's life was defined by her love of family. Her spirit and joy lives on with them and with everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She was a communicant at St. Rose of Lima Church.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Marie's funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. A private burial will take place at a later date.
