Marion L. (Simonds) Pelkey, died peacefully on February 7, 2014 at Beaumont of Northborough. She was born and raised in Worcester. She was the daughter of Clayton and Marie (Champigney) Simonds. Her loving husband Thomas "Eddie" Pelkey died in 2004. She leaves behind a niece, Jackie Orent-Nathan and several nieces & nephews. She also leaves her parish family at St. Bernadette Church where she was a founding member. She lived in the same home on Assabet Drive for over 60 years where she enjoyed many generations of friends and neighbors. Her church community and neighborhood friends were some of the most important aspects of her life. Marion will also be missed by her 'chosen' family Anthony and Joanne Rino, along with their children, Isabella and Nicholas. Years ago, Marion worked at the Worcester Club and spent countless hours taking walks, loving animals and caring for her home.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at Hays Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Immediately following, her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernadette Church, 266 Main St. Northborough. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
