Obituary

Hudson - Mary Leah (Rawstron) Henriques, 30, of Marlboro, MA, joined our Heavenly Father on May 17, 2016 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, after a many-year battle with acute opiate addiction. Mary was born on July 8, 1985 and adopted as a child by William and Ann Rawstron of Northboro. She attended Algonquin Regional High School in Northboro, and graduated from Arlington High School in 2004. In May of 2009, Mary married Flavio Henriques of Hudson at the Church of the Nativity, Northboro. Growing up, Mary was a lover of all God's furry and feathered creatures and enjoyed reading, sailing, swimming and playing with her cousins, nieces and nephews. As an adult, she enjoyed taking her children to the park, spending time with friends and attending church with her family. She was a loyal daughter, sister, friend and mother. Always having room in her heart for those less fortunate, she strove to make the world a better place by lending an ear or a hand to those in need. The burdens she carried were heavy and despite her efforts and those of her loved ones, she was unable to find the peace and happiness she sought. We know that she is now free of those burdens, complete, addiction-free and has found the happiness with our Lord and Savior that she was unable to find here on earth. Mary leaves behind her husband Flavio Henriques of Hudson, daughters Cassidy Rawstron of Northboro and Jazlyn and Shyla Henriques of Hudson, and her parents William and Ann Rawstron of Northboro. She is also survived by her siblings, Lisa Henderson and her husband Paul of Boston, Jon Rawstron and his wife Linda of Northboro, Amy Rawstron and her husband Ian Watson, of Shrewsbury, James Rawstron and his wife Katherine of Attleboro, Will Rawstron and his partner Hannah Taylor of Silverthorn CO, Peter Rawstron of New Millbury, PA, and Sarah Demartino and her husband Joseph of Barnstable. Mary is also survived by her birth mother Karen Saari and her birth sisters Christine Wilkins of Hudson and Stephanie Oak of Pepperell. Also, she leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service/Celebration of Mary's life will be held on Tuesday, May 31 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity, 45 Howard St, Northboro, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. 10 Mechanic Street, Suite 302, Worcester MA 01608. Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough is directing arrangements. Service Information Tuesday May 31, 2016 10:00am, Church of the Nativity 45 Howard Street Northborough, MA 01532
