NORTHBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS PITTSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA Mary Jane Rydberg passed away from the effects of lymphoma on March 20, 2022 at her daughter's home in Northborough, MA; she was 92 years old. Born in Pittsburg and raised in Brentwood, Mary Jane was the daughter of the late Gilbert H. and Elizabeth Witz (ne Lobaugh). Mary Jane is survived by her daughter Nancy Rydberg Johnson and her husband Philip of Northborough MA, a granddaughter Elizabeth Purcell of Cambridge MA, grandson William Purcell of New York City, and sister Nancie Burkett and her husband Theodore of Haverford PA. She was predeceased by her former husband Robert Rydberg and her son William who died in an accidental fall in July 2021. After graduating from Brentwood High School in 1947, Mary Jane attended Wittenberg University and then continued her studies as a fine arts major at Syracuse University. She worked as an interior designer in Toronto, Canada, before returning to Pittsburgh where she lived in Mt. Lebanon and continued her decorating career at Horne's, Beck's Charter Oaks, and Manor House. All services are private, for the family.
