Mary E. (Morgan) Weir, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Born in Worcester, Mary was one of six children born to the late Roderick J. and Margaret E. (Bagin) Morgan.

In 1951, Mary wed her husband, Richard J. Weir, Sr. Shortly afterwards they purchased their home in Northborough. Mary devoted her life to the caring of her growing family and making their house a loving home where for years everyone would still gather on Sunday afternoons. She also worked 28 years as a cashier for Stop and Shop in Westborough.

Mary was a longtime active parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Northborough and the Daughters of Isabella in North Grafton. Along with Richard, she would spend countless hours volunteering at St. Rose. Mary was an active volunteer at the church youth camps, and with providing meal services to families after funerals. Mary always enjoyed the holidays with family, especially hosting Christmas Eve to experience the excitement of her grandchildren. Her devotion to her beloved Boston Red Sox was unmatched and she rarely missed a game. After retirement, Mary loved spending the winter months in Englewood, Florida. She returned in the spring to spend quality time with the grandkids and to resume her daily ritual as a "regular" at McDonalds for morning coffee with friends.

Surviving Mary are her 6 children, Jeannine Ross and her husband Mel of Oxford, Laurene Nichols and her husband Bruce of West Boylston, Richard and his wife Linda of Shrewsbury, Stephen and his wife Nancy of Franklin, Eileen MacQueen and her husband Cal of Boylston and John and his wife Lynne of Sterling. She also leaves 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, all whom she dearly loved, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her brothers Jack, Roderick, James and Francis Morgan, and her sister Ellen Ostergard.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, at St. Rose of Lima Parish, 244 W. Main Street, Northborough. There are no public calling hours planned. Mary will be laid to rest in Howard St. Cemetery, Northborough.
