Matthew Todd Wheeler, a lifelong resident of Northborough, passed away in Marlborough Hospital on September 16, 2023, after a period of declining health. He was 55 years old.

Matthew enjoyed bowling, traveling to Maine to listen to his uncle, David Hollis, as he preformed at local venues in the Kennebunkport and Wells area. Matthew also enjoyed caring for his cats. Prior to his debilitating health issues, Matthew worked as a computer system technician with National Grid. He had a quiet and gentle demeanor and quick with sharing of a joke.

Surviving Matthew is his father, Joseph L. Wheeler of N. Fort Myers, Florida and several cousins. Matthew was preceded in death by his brother, Warren Wheeler in 1990, his uncle, David Hollis in 2022 and his beloved mother, Nancy (Hollis) Wheeler in the Spring of this year.

Matthew will be laid to rest privately beside his mother, brother and uncle. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service which is scheduled for 12:30 in the afternoon on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532.
