Northborough - Muriel D. (Eaton) Gillespie, 79, died on September 19, 2013 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston due to heart complications. She leaves her devoted husband of 60 years, George A. Gillespie; her loving children, Deborah Rosales and husband Stephen of Belmont, George Gillespie Jr. of Venezuela, Stephen Gillespie and wife Marlene of Kingston, NH, Richard Gillespie and Shelley Carlson of Northborough and Denise Gillespie of South Weymouth; six grandchildren, Danielle, Elizabeth, Caren, Stephen, Cheri and Nicole; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Muriel was born and raised in Boston and lived in Northborough since 1956. Muriel and George enjoyed traveling around the world. Over the years, she loved to watch her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. She lived for her family. Mrs. Gillespie was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church. Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday September 24th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St. Burial will follow in Howard St. Cemetery.
