NORTHBOROUGH
Patricia (Pickering) Cluff, 89, died on March 13, 2022 at Linda Manor Extended Care Facility, Leeds, Massachusetts. Her husband, William, died on January 1, 2000. She is survived by a son, Benjamin and his wife Suzan of Bernardston and two daughters; Holly Cluff, who resides in Tucson, Arizona and Wendy Cluff and her husband John Levasseur, who reside in Holyoke. Mrs. Cluff also leaves four grandchildren, Rebecca Cluff, Ian Cluff, Rachael Bailey, and Emily Cristofolini; eight great- grandchildren, Sadie, Jake, Lukas, Abby, Jazzie, Myles, Asher and Izabella; one 1 great –great- grandchild, Sariah; a sister-in-law, Betty (Anson) Pickering of Brewster and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Irving E. Pickering, George W. Pickering, and Harry I. Pickering.
Born in Malden, Massachusetts on March 25, 1932, Mrs. Cluff was the daughter of the late Irving B. and Mary Jane (Bailey) Pickering. She graduated from Hyde Park High School and held a B.S. in Education from Tufts University. Mrs. Cluff taught Physical Education in Rye, NY, during the 1950's and was an instructor for many years at the Westborough YWCA, adult education program at Algonquin Regional High School and also at the Northborough & Westborough Senior Centers.
Mrs. Cluff was a longtime member of Trinity Church, the Northborough Historical Society, assisted in feeding Habitat for Humanity workers, was a past President of the Northborough Fire Belles and a Senior Citizen Volunteer at Proctor School.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, at the Trinity Church of Northborough, which is located at 23 Main Street. A calling hour from 10-11 a.m. will precede the service. The use of masks and social distancing will be requested while inside the church.
The Cluff family respectfully request that memorial donations be directed to the Trinity Church of Northborough – Scholarship Fund, 23 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532 or to the Health Alliance Hospice, 60 Hospital Rd. Leominster MA 01453.
