Obituary

Paul B. Cutter Jr., 88, of Holden, formerly of Sanford, Maine died on September 17, 2013 at the Odd Fellows Home in Worcester after complications from Alzheimer's. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Merrilyn (Cook) Cutter; six children- Linda and Bob Christensen of Holliston, Alden and Carolann LaTour of Holden, Sheila and Kevin Mader of Northborough, Raymond Cutter of Lynn, Beth LaTour and Dave Albert of Rochester, NH, and Carolyn Cutter of Dover, NH; 17 grandchildren-Lorie Hampton, Paul Christensen, Justin Nelson, Christopher Mader, Jenna and Cassandra Nelson, Mark Christensen, Jamie Mader, Shannon LaTour, Kelsey LaTour, Nicole Myott, Padric LaTour, Jason Cutter, Joshua Nelson, Danielle Cutter, Kayla Cutter and Bailey LaTour; eight great-grandchildren-Zachary, Jonathan, Braydon, Gracelynn, Alex, Bentley, Julia and Mason; his sister, Mickey MacPherson. He is predeceased by a daughter Paula Trotter. Paul was born in Melrose, son of the late Paul B. and May E. (Skinner) Cutter Sr. He owned and operated the Convenient Food Mart in Marblehead and the White Hen Pantry in Lynn. Paul loved woodworking was a "jack-of-all-trades" with his many projects around the house. He enjoyed his daily walks. Paul was a member of Chaffin Congregational Church in Holden. Mr. Cutter was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served his country in the European theater during WW II. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Paul's funeral will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Chaffin Congregational Church, 145 Shrewsbury St. Holden. Burial with military honors will be held in Howard St. Cemetery, Northborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave. 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
