Paul F. Litchfield, 85 Marlborough - Paul F. Litchfield, 85, died on March 25, 2013 at UMass/Memorial (University Campus) in Worcester due to complications from a stroke. He leaves his loving wife of 60 years, Lillian R. (Winter) Litchfield; his sons, Thomas Litchfield of Marlborough, Stephen Litchfield and his wife Sandra of Norfolk, MA and Paul Litchfield and his wife Paula of Northbridge; his daughter, Eileen Gelsomini and her husband John of Hudson; eight grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; his sister, Claire Petronis of CT; many nieces and nephews. Born in Boston and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Paul lived many years on Long Island. He lived in Marlborough the past five years and is formerly of Florida. Mr. Litchfield worked at Grumman Aircraft in New York. He later worked 20 years for the Dept. of Defense as a Computer Security Specialist. Paul proudly served his country in the Navy during WW II. He was a member of St. Bernadette Parish. Mr. Litchfield was an avid tennis player and loved playing golf. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernadette Church, 266 Main St. Northborough. There are no calling hours. A private burial for immediate family members will be held in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Please omit flowers. Instead, memorial donations in Paul's memory may be made to MA Alzheimer's Assoc., 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
