Obituary

Berlin – Paula E. (Adams)LaForce, 74, passed away September 2, 2015 at UMass Memorial Health Care (University Campus) after a brief illness. Her husband William W. LaForce died in 2012. She leaves her loving children, Belinda Murdock of Berlin and her son Phillip and his fiancé Catherine Williams of Marlborough; one grandson Dillon LaForce of Marlborough; her sisters, Alison, Joanne and Wendy; also surviving are cousins, nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her brother, Robin Adams. Born and raised in Worcester, she was the daughter of Everett and Elaine (Hesselton) Adams. Paula resided in Berlin for the last 20 years. Mrs. LaForce spent her working career in food service. In the 1970s, she was employed by American Optical in Framingham, and Digital Equipment Corp. in Marlborough during the 1990s. Paula volunteered her time for various activities in her Berlin community, and was a member of the Ladies Night Guild. An avid reader, she also enjoyed knitting and embroidering. She loved trips to Vermont and traveled on senior trips with the Northborough Travelers. Paula was especially fond of her cat Emma.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Her graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 10th at 10 a.m. at North Cemetery, (Highland Street) Berlin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berlin Rescue Squad, 23 Linden St. Berlin, MA 01503-1669.
