Born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts to Arthur and Irene (Pelletier) Kingman, Raymond studied at Merrimack College where he earned a BS in Business Administration and met his future wife Frances A. (Mele). After graduation, Raymond enlisted in the US Army where he honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. In 1969 Raymond relocated his family to Massachusetts and worked for the former Paul Revere Insurance Company in Worcester for 29 years. After retiring in 1998 he continued to work as a consultant for Boston area insurance companies for several more years. Raymond was a passionate philatelist who relished the hunt for rare and collectable stamps. He supported Troop 1 of the Boy Scouts in Northborough and was an avid gardener. Additionally, he dedicated his time to the Northborough/Southborough Music Association as a volunteer and supporter.
