NORTHBOROUGH
We remember Raymond M. Salvo who passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, after a long battle with heart disease. He leaves his loving wife of 55 years, Dolores Comeaux Salvo, sons Raymond Douglas Salvo (married Tamar Myers), Christopher Alexander Salvo, and two granddaughters: Sayuri and Matahn. Mr. Salvo was predeceased by his youngest son Gregory Salvo, and his two siblings Paul Salvo and Anne Moulton.
Raymond was born in Controne, Italy. He was one of three children to the late Dominic and Rose (Pape) Salvo, and as an infant, moved to East Boston with his family. Raymond worked in the ing industry prior to becoming a graphic arts vocational teacher for over 30 years at the former Worcester Boy's Trade HS in Worcester.
In his youth, he explored religion and acquired a wide repertoire of gospel music. He had a great appreciation for the outdoors. Raymond enjoyed hiking, skiing, camping, swimming, playing cards, guitar, harmonica, singing, and dancing with family and friends. Most of all, Ray was a genuine conversationalist, and loved to talk with strangers and life long friends about their stories and adventures.
