Northborough – Richard "Dick" S. List passed away January 10, 2016 at home after a courageous 1-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 80 years old. His devoted wife Tonya M. (Spadafore) died in 2013. Mr. List leaves behind two sons, Stephen List and his wife Carole of Warner Robins, GA; David List and his wife Christine of Northborough; he was "papa" to grandchildren, Nicole Dimuzio, Bryan List, Michael List and Jacob List; two great-grandchildren, Christian Dimuzio and Mason List. Dick also leaves behind sisters, Sara List of TX and Jane Moorman Mays of MI; his brother, Mark List and his wife Cathy of AR; several nieces and nephews around the country. Born in Hamilton, OH, he was the son of Stanley and Adeline (Wilhelm) List. Dick spent his career with Hyde Manufacturing in Southbridge, MA for 30 years. He retired as National Sales Director. Mr. List proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Dick volunteered his time with Game Board Buddies at Proctor Elementary School in Northborough Mr. List also volunteered a great deal of time with the Northborough Senior Center prior to becoming too ill to do so. Dick was a member of the Dull Men's Club in town where he met many good friends. He was on the board of directors for the Dismas House in Worcester. He was a long standing parishioner at St Rose of Lima Church. Dick will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who cared for others.

Calling hours will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Dick's funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 16th at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St. Northborough. Burial is private.
