Richard Simonian, 85, of Berlin, MA died Sunday, September 8, 2024, after battling lung cancer for several months. He died peacefully at home, with his daughters by his side. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 40 years, Claudia (Logan) Simonian.

Richard lived in Berlin since 1969, and was a permanent fixture at his family's farm, Davidian's, in Northborough. He had a career spanning five decades with Farm Family Insurance, serving Massachusetts farmers.

He leaves two daughters, Kim Simonian of Boston and Kara Simonian of North Kingstown, RI; a brother, George and his wife Mary of Methuen; two sisters-in-law, Ann Logan and her husband, Christopher Eccles of England, and Irene Logan of Worcester; two first cousins and their wives – Edward, Nancy, David, and Debbie Davidian, all of Northborough – who constituted his inner circle; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him. He was born in Methuen and spent summers on the farm in Northborough.

Richard was a U.S. Army veteran and graduated from University of New Hampshire. He was a devoted fan of the Red Sox and Notre Dame football and an avid bowler.

Calling hours will be held from 4PM to 8PM on Friday, September 13th at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. All are welcome to attend a graveside funeral and interment with Military Honors will be held at 10AM on Saturday, September 14th at North Cemetery, Highland Street in Berlin.
