BERLIN

Robert T. Powers, 79, a longtime resident of Berlin, MA and native of Watertown, MA, passed away on August 21, 2024. Bob was the father of Dawn Marie (Powers) Fouracre and her husband Mark of, Georgia and Stephen Anderson, son of Bob's late longtime partner, Jean Anderson. He also leaves his sister, June Coates of Billerica, MA. Preceding him in death are his mother, Irene Powers of Watertown MA; his son Dean Alan Powers; his children's Mother Janet (Koscuk) Powers and his brother, Roland Powers of Decatur, GA.

Bob was a lifelong employee of Star Market starting early as a teenager, taking military leave to serve his country as a sergeant in the United States Air Force radar section for 6 years during the Vietnam era. Upon his return, Bob resumed employment with Star Market where he specialized in troubleshooting problems at locations throughout the country.

Upon retiring, Bob spent his time on his love of working on and restoring his collection of old cars, especially his Pontiacs. When not under the hood, working on his cars, he would travel the states coast to coast to attend car shows, spending cherished time with his good friends. He also loved relaxing and watching good old western shows.

Family and friends will gather for a graveside service at the North Berlin Cemetery on Highland Street at 11:30am on September 7, with a celebratory luncheon to be held immediately following the interment. All are welcome to both gatherings.
