Northborough – Robert W. Marcello, 80, a lifelong resident of Northborough, passed away on February 9, 2018. He was the son of the late William and Dorothy (Pray) Marcello. He leaves his brother, Kenneth Marcello of Shrewsbury and his niece, Dez Marcello of Jericho, Vermont. Bob was a graduate of the former Northborough High School. He continued his studies by attending Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Mr. Marcello worked as a printer at Westborough State Hospital for 22 years until his retirement in the early 1990s. He was a Cadillac enthusiast and loved antique cars. Bob enjoyed golfing and was an avid piano player. He most recently enjoyed spending time at the Northborough Senior Center. Bob was a quiet, but social man who was fortunate to live among caring neighbors in the Park Street area. Mr. Marcello was a member of Trinity Church.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street Northborough. Bob's funeral will take place on Thursday, February 15th at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Valeria Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in the Marcello lot in Howard Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Church, 23 Main St. Northborough, MA 01532 or to the Friends of Northborough Senior Center, 119 Bearfoot Rd. Northborough.
