Northborough Roland T. Cone Jr., 88, passed away with family by his side on September 29, 2017. Born and raised in Framingham, Roland lived in Northborough for more than 50 years. He leaves his wife Irmgard "Irma" Cone of Clinton; his four children, Karola "Lola" Murray and her husband David of Pleasant Garden NC; Barbara O'Brien and her husband Tom of Hudson; Roland Cone III and his wife Claire of West Brookfield; John Cone and his wife Susan of Northborough; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mr. Cone worked for W.W. Richardson Trucking Co. in Waltham for 15 years retiring in 1996. A proud Army veteran, he was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. The family would like to thank the staff of Corcoran House in Clinton for their efforts and care. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
