Northborough Rosemarie C. (Steele) Winmill died peacefully in her sleep on April 11, 2016. She was 71 years old. Rosemarie leaves a son John Morrison and his wife Carrie of Bellingham; two daughters Denise Lyons and her husband Paul of South Boston and Kimberly Sealey and her husband Steven of Lakeland Florida; 7 grandchildren, James, Marissa and Michael Mealey, Kellie and Haylee Morrison, and Caitlin and Kevin Sealey and 2 great-grandchildren; her stepmother, Judith Steel of CA. She is predeceased by her loving husband John I. Winmill. Rosemarie was born and raised in Brookline. She was the daughter of the late Virginia (Gray) and the late Peter Steele. Mrs. Winmill was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Brookline where she was awarded "The Most Mary Like" award her senior year. Rosemarie worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Claims Supervisor for 10 years, volunteered as a Cheerleading Coach for Algonquin High School from 1980-1985 and for 17 years was the Nanny to Mark and Christopher Scheid, a position she still held in her heart until the day she died. She lived in Shrewsbury, MA and Bangor Maine before settling in Northborough in 1977. For 38 years, Rosie could be found every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon in Alice's chair at Studio West Hair Design. She loved her Shih Tzu puppies (Snowy and Stewie), decorating for and hosting holiday gatherings and celebrations for family and friends, enjoyed camping as well as vacationing on Cape Cod and at Foxwoods, and playing Keno. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 16th at 11 a.m. in the North Section (Kizer) of Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough. (Please go directly to the cemetery).
