Russell B. Iknaian passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, with his beloved family by his side; he was 76 years old. Russell was born in Boston, MA on August 25, 1946, the son of George and Mary Iknaian. He grew up in Watertown. He never married and was known to everyone as "Uncle Russ".

Russell attended Wentworth Institute of Technology and graduated with an Engineering degree. He was an initial employee of Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, MA and focused his career on semiconductor design. He worked for Hewlett Packard and ultimately retired from Intel Corporation. He placed a high priority on education.

Russell's legal home address was always in Massachusetts. But, his pride of ownership was his cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, NH where he made most of his memories. He loved snowmobiling, boating, gardening, playing dominos and cards with friends, and home projects. He spent many years in the Groton, MA area prior to moving to Cambridge, MA then Westford, MA.

Among those he leaves behind are four nephews, Christian F. Clausen III and his wife Charla of Richardson, TX, Mark A. Clausen and his wife Kathy of Berlin, MA, Matthew S. Clausen and his wife Lucy of Friendswood, TX and Thomas Aucella of Las Vegas, NV. He leaves five grand-nieces and nephews whom he was proud of, Devin, Lyra, Tyler, Kimberly, and Christopher as well as one great-grand niece, Haley. He also leaves one brother Richard Iknaian of Medford and predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Clausen and Gloria Aucella.

Calling hours for Russell will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 9 am to 10:30 am at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough, MA. His funeral service will follow at 10:45 am at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough, MA with a burial following in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.
