The family of Steven P. Gagnon share his passing away on August 28, 2021 at St Luke's Hospital in Brazosport, Texas after a short illness; he was 71 years old. Steven was a resident of Clute,Texas and formerly of Northborough, Massachusetts. Steve was our beloved brother, a supportive companion to Lisa, and a loving uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. He had such a generous heart and we will miss him dearly everyday.
He attended Algonquin HS in Northborough until his Junior year when he moved to Spencer, MA and graduated with the Class of 1968 from David Prouty HS. He then enlisted in the Navy where he served during the Vietnam War. After leaving the service he attended college for in Brazosport, TX and subsequently received his Associates Degree.
Steve worked many years as a private contractoring pipefitter and boilermaker for the Dow Chemical Corp. in Lake Jackson, TX . After leaving Dow he and his partner Lisa owned and operated the Lake Cleaners for fifteen years. For enjoyment, Steve loved to travel throughout the US and Canada.
He was an active member of the Texas Liberty Campaign. He was also an avid collector who had an entrepreneurial spirit. Once he retired Steve enjoyed researching the family ancestry; we have all benefited from his research. We are thankful that he has uncovered so much interesting history because of his hobby.
Steve is survived by his loving companion of 45 years, Lisa Polk of Lake Jackson, TX; his three sisters Nancy McKenney of Northborough, MA, Carol Westerback of Nashua, NH and Judy Hulbert and her husband Stephen of Westborough, MA; two brothers Michael Gagnon and Billie-Jo Cody of North Brookfield, MA and Richard Gagnon and his wife Kristina of Saco, ME.
