Thomas Francis Gillis, Jr. passed away after a long battle with dementia on May 5, 2025, at the young age of 66. Originally of Boston, Thomas relocated to Northborough where he resided over 20 years. For 40 years he was a dedicated employee of Nova Biomedical in Waltham, MA. Thomas was very private, a homebody, but enjoyed shopping, diet Cape Cod Cranberry Dry soda, black Levi's jeans, watching tv, listening to music, and eating good food. He lived a simple life and will be dearly missed.

Surviving Thomas are his three children, Mackenzie Russell, her husband Patrick Russell and their son Jackson of Millbury, MA, Shaun Gillis and his wife Lynne Gillis and their children Cameron and Emily of Oxford, MA and Thomas Gillis, III and his children Tristin, Jameson, and Liam of Jacksonville, NC. Thomas is also survived by his sister, Karen Barbosa and her family of Fall River, MA, brother, James Gillis and his family of West Roxbury, MA, and brother, Ken Gillis and his family of West Roxbury, MA. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Gillis Sr, mother, Geraldine Carapezza and stepfather, John Carapezza.

Following a private funeral, Thomas will be interred in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.
