Victoria Miller, 96 Northborough, MA - Victoria Miller (Martinez), 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 28, 2013 at Beaumont of Northborough. Her devoted husband, Harry E. Miller, passed away May 2, 1972. Victoria was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on December 23, 1916. She met her husband Harry Miller during World War II when he was stationed in Puerto Rico while serving with the Army Air Corps. Victoria moved to Brooklyn, New York with her husband and worked at the Seagoing Uniform Corporation as a seamstress for thirty years. Upon her retirement, she moved back to her native Ponce and enjoyed a peaceful retirement in the company of her nieces Edicta and Nayda and her good friend Alba until her declining health required the first hand care of her family residing in Massachusetts. Victoria was an avid sports fan, geography buff, singer, and in her youth a great dancer. Throughout her life Victoria could best be described as "active," even into her nineties. Despite her unquenchable energy she was also fond of quiet afternoons partaking of her favorite snack, coffee and bread, and conversation with good friends and family. She is survived by her daughter Mary and her husband Fred Smyth, her grandson Wally and his wife Sue, her grandson Michael and his wife Deborah, and her great grandchildren Elizabeth and her husband James Antonizick, Nicholas, Lauren, Kenneth, Matthew, and Evan. Victoria's funeral will be held Monday April 8, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. in Northborough Massachusetts.
